Why did we do it?
BigWebNoise is an independent digital advertising agency. We strategize and execute online communications for businesses and organizations, locally and internationally.
We are a young firm, helmed by entrepreneurs that average fourteen years experience in areas such as web development, interface design, effective content generation and digital creativity.
Our perspective of online marketing is based on the concept of mutual benefit. We propose communication strategies that help our clients achieve their goals, in addition to providing the final user with what they value: service, quality, proximity, attention, worth.
We know that the internet and online platforms are a powerful tool, not only in terms of commerce-driven communications, but also for the empowerment and engagement of citizens. These, coupled with further actions, can become key in the spreading, gathering and mobilization that revolve around causes of legitimate public interest.
We are positive that businesses can take a stand, just as citizens and some organizations do. Businesses get to choose what their role within society is, and to make an impact through their work.
We believe that our positions must transcend notions of “social responsibility” and crystallize in the form of “social action”- that is, putting work and creativity to the service of principles and their defense.
Just as dozens of businesses have planted the flag of sustainable development and environmental responsibility, with the particular context that surrounded the election of Justo Orozco as President of the Comission on Human Rights, we felt that we could – and should – raise the flag for Human Rights.
We developed a digital tool and we put it to the service of that cause: to make amends for what we consider a contradictory affront to the discourse and position of Costa Rica as a country that is respectful of Human Rights and a promoter of them too.
As on many other occasions, at BigWebNoise we are satisfied with the work we have done, but most of all, we are convinced that what has been done up until now is only the beginning of something much bigger: what can happen when the right tools are put to the service of the right goals.
